I'm Tianyi Zhang, a UX/UI & Motion Designer based in Seattle, WA.

My design path began with a deep love for animation—captivated by the visual storytelling of Ghibli and Pixar. During the pandemic, my perspective shifted: I realized design could do more than create beautiful moments—it could create meaningful, real-world impact. Attending UX events in San Gabriel opened the door to user experience, leading me to pursue Interactive Design at SCAD. After graduating, my work as a contract Interaction Designer for Google Maps further sharpened my craft, systems thinking, and understanding of product at scale.

Today, I'm dedicated to crafting intuitive, engaging digital experiences that balance clarity, motion, and utility. With a user-centered, strategy-driven approach, I focus on refining interactions, improving accessibility, and designing seamless flows that make complex systems feel simple.

Beyond design, I'm an aspiring mountaineer (YouTube: SaraVista). Living in the Pacific Northwest has fueled my love for the outdoors, where I've learned to set ambitious goals and pursue them with consistent, steady steps—an approach that shapes both my work and my life.
